For visitors that count fishing as one of their favourite activities, Kuala Lukut Kelong Fishing should not be missed. Kelong is traditional equipment for catching fish; it has barriers of compartment usually made of bamboo or rattan. One can also find Kelong Fishing at the jetty of Kampung (Village) Kuala Lukut and Pengkalan (Pier) Nelayan.
At the jetty, visitors only pay RM 3.00 per person to partake in this activity from 7.00 a.m till 7.00 p.m. Only two fishing rods are allowed per visitor. There is also a shuttle service to the Kelong which is only RM 27.00. The time for this service is only from 7.00 a.m until 7.00 p.m (12 hours) and 7.00 p.m until 7.00 a.m (12 hours).
FACILITIES
Among the facilities is accommodation. There are 5 rooms for rent at RM 30.00 each. Besides, it is well equipped with utilities such as electricity and water, toilets and cooking area. Visitors can also rent boat at an affordable price.
LOCATION
This particular kelong is located in Kuala Lukut Chuah which is near to the Sungai Lukut estuary. It is approximately 3 nautical stone from Sungai Lukut.
